Bernard Busuttil started his music studies at the age of six studying pianoforte, theory of music and later pipe organ. He took up his vocal studies at the Johann Strauss School of Music under the guidance of soprano Miriam Cauchi.

He has performed as a chorister in various operas; Un Ballo in Maschera, Otello, Tosca, La Boheme, Pagliacci, Cavalleria Rusticana, Macbeth, Turandot Rigoletto, La Traviata (Teatru Astra), Nabucco (Teatru Aurora), Rigoletto, Il-Weghda, Falstaff (Manoel Theatre), and sang small solo parts in Pagliacci, Macbeth and Rigoletto. As a chorister, he sang also as in the Requiem masses of Verdi and Mozart, Rossini’s Stabat Mater and various oratorios and masses.He gave recitals in Sicily and Paris, while locally he sang the main parts in abridged versions of L’Elisir d’Amore, La Boheme, La Principessa della Czarda and was soloist in concerts of sacred music. Recently, he was a soloist at the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra Christmas Concert.
